"Just wanted to say how much of a lovely time we enjoyed whilst we stayed with you for four nights recently. The site was in a perfect location and beautifully maintained. Working in travel I hear so many complaints day after day of the state of some of the places people go to, and this site was immaculate. It looked it best in the cold crisp mornings when we got up and even though was cold felt the warmth of a homely feel to it. Just like to say thanks to both yourselves for the kindness you showed whilst we were there and the help that was offered on more than one occasion. "Just writing to 'Thank you' for the lovely long weekend we had at your site, unfortunately we did not get the chance to say thanks and goodbye before we left! We found your site excellent for our three boys aged twelve, nine and seven. The pitch you placed us on, right beside the play area/games room/shower area, was ideal as we could sit in our gazebo and relax but still keep an eye on the children. The boys made lots of new friends, including your girls who were very polite and helpful, and they are already asking if we can go back again! We are quite new to caravanning and usually take our holidays in France, but being on your site outside in the sunshine with fresh croissants and pain aux chocolate every morning was equally as nice as France (and a fraction of the cost!) "As enthusiast campers, we've seen lots of campsites in different countries. In July we arrived in the rain at Barley Meadow, and a warm welcome made us feel at home. A nice campground, but later we were even more surprised. We've never seen such a nice clean, beautiful sanitary block!!! In the morning fresh bread in a cosy clean shop. Camp-owners who really care and have fun in making you feel at home. To us it was a place with "the extra" that makes it a camping to remember and to visit again! "Just had to comment on your beautiful site, (other site owners should stay with you just to find out how a site should be run). We have caravanned for many years and only recently taken to tenting and Barley Meadow is the nicest, best run site we have ever stayed on! Immaculately kept and landscaped, spotless and thoughtfully provided for a campers every need. Both you and Cath made us feel so welcome and important and our every need was catered for in such a friendly way. If only you had the same control over the weather. We did leave a day early due to the weather being so wet and windy but our stay with you will be fondly remembered. Keep up the good work and may you have every success in the future. The facilities were well kept and clean, the extras available such as fire pits, cakes, coffee & fresh croissants were a real bonus and you were both really welcoming, very helpful and clearly take a pride in your business. "We came to your site, and I have to say that it is even better than the pictures on the website. We had a fabulous few days (wish we could have stayed longer), and the early morning fresh coffee was an absolute life saver for me, as I don’t function in the mornings until I have had it. Whoever thought of the coffee and breakfast croissants is a genius ! This was my husbands first camping trip (it took me 3 years to convince him), and he was delighted with the site. All of the facilities were top notch and super clean. Suffice to say, we will definitely be coming back again. You made us feel very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. Your advice for my hubby’s pot of honey was spot on (we got it where you said we would), and there is plenty to do in the area (it’s not easy entertaining two teenage girls). It is our plan to stay for a week next year (2008), and this will give us time to explore the rest of the area. Many, Many thanks once again for all your help, and the wonderful camp site you run. We have been caravaners for the last 15 years and only just changed over to a tent. We have always liked a site to have clean facilities but in a van if they are not up to scratch it's not the end of the world. Suddenly, being in a tent it has become paramount. "We stayed on your campsite in April 07. You might remember us as our son stayed up in the dark to help turf. We really enjoyed our stay and the Croissant's so much that we'd like to stay again in July with our Caravan. You made us feel so welcome and this website really doesn't do you the justice and credit you deserve. We stumbled across your site because the other's in your area were uninviting, What a favour that was. One thing I would say and you've probably done this already, have a bin next to the washing up area. That was the only thing if anything I could find fault with and it's not really a fault as there are bins in the toilets. Hope to see you soon Grant Michelle and Corey".
