"We had a great time at Barley Meadows and will certainly come back again. We have already recommended your campsite to lots of our friends. It was lovely to stay on your site, it was so well kept, so clean and so welcoming. We were impressed with your recycling approach and thought it was great to camp in such style - coffee, croissants, tourist information! We took your advice and went to Okehampton one day and bumped into Gordon Ramsey! We also went to the Drew Arms which we thought was fab! Real ale! Good real ale! "As we drove down the lane towards the reception/shop we were greeted with a wave and then a huge welcome - this was how the owners of the site are - friendly, approachable and nothing is too much trouble! The site itself is lovely - well-spaced pitches and all in good positions around the park. The loos and showers are immaculate and very well-maintained. The little touches really make this site exceptional - we thoroughly recommend the coffee and freshly-baked croissants in the morning - don't forget to pre-order! And appreciated the availability of a recycle box which we picked up en route to our pitch. The shop sells so many goodies and locally produced at that, but also has the bare essentials too. Sadly we were only able to stay at Barley Meadow for 2 nights, if we hadn't needed to get back for work, we could have easily stayed longer, however we did leave feeling relaxed, revived and refreshed and will definitely be back!" "I wanted to speak on behalf of the party of 8 that stayed at your facilities for one night at the weekend. I consider myself to be a seasoned camper and have through the years stayed at many a facility, but I must say, none have I come across that was as fantastic and welcoming as yours. We were all impressed with the WC and shower facilities, so nice in fact that we would have been happy to have it as our own bathrooms at home. Never before I have seen toilet blocks central heated and with lovely potted plants on the window sill. Very impressed too by the option of being able to have a fire pit. Not many sites offer such a thing. And although we weren't organised enough to pre-order breakfast, what a fantastic idea of fresh coffee and croissants. Fresh coffee is always a must for me. What we also found refreshing too was that you didn't discriminate against us being a young group. A very pleasant and inviting stay that was very affordable, and even came with recycle boxes.
